Samsung announced and released two phones this times: the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. They are both indeed great phones, but what’s really the difference? Let’s check it out!
Both Samsung phones use the same basic features and technologies, such as a 5.1-inch Quad HD display i.e. 1,440 x 2,560, and octo-core processor with four cores at 2.1GHz and another four at 1.5GHz.
Regarding the camera, both phones have a 16-megapixel back camera and 5-megapixels front camera.
What’s different about the phones, besides the design, is that the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge a slightly bigger battery, but it doesn’t really make that much of a difference.
The design of the phones is really the biggest difference. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has curved edges with gives it a more futuristic look. The Samsung Galaxy S6 has a standard screen look i.e. flat.
The Edge variant feels incredibly light in the hand, even though it is a bit thicker than the regular S6. However, being a bit thicker is what you get for having the round edges.
To be really honest here, there is not really much of a difference between these two models. If you are willing to get yourself a new Samsung phone, you cannot go wrong with whichever of these phones. If you want to stay to what you know, chose the regular S6. However, if you want to go more stylish and don’t mind paying $100 more, that the Edge may be the right one for you.
