Xperia Z5 Premium vs Galaxy S6 Edge

It seems like Sony tried even too hard this time to deliver something jaw-dropping, never seen before and amazing as the Z5 Premium. It seems that their concept is even a bit futuristic. On the other side, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a futuristic touch itself, having round edges. Let’s see the battle of the all mighty phones.

For the First Time in Forever…

Both the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge have been the first phones for something. The Z5 model is the first phone ever that has a 4K resolution with an incredible 806 PPI. Yes, it is like the world comes alive when you look at the phone, but our question is why? Of course, why not, but there are not many videos uploaded online with a 4K resolution. Because it is insanely good, that’s why!

On the other hand, there’s the sleek design of the S6 Edge, becoming the first phone ever with curved edges. Of course, it looks amazing! Yet, we shall ask again, why? Why not, yes! There’s no doubt that it looks amazing, but the taps on the curved sides can turn on actions, simply because there’s little space to hold on to and you can tap things with no intention.

One this is clear here, that both phones are bringing revolutionary ideas into light, even though we may not have the opportunity to use the best out of them at least for now.

What’s Different?

There are not many thing that can determine a clear winner here. Here’s what’s different with these two phones:

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a 5.1” display with a pixel density of 577 PPI, while the Sony Xperia Z5 has a 5.5” display with a pixel density of 806 PPI. The Z5 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 while the S6 Edge uses Exynos 7 Octa 7420, so Samsung’s processor is a bit stronger than the one the Z5 has. A unique feature of the Z5 is the waterproof design.

In terms of price, both phones cost around $1000.

So, The Winner?

Well, there is no clear winner here. In the end, it depends mostly on your liking. Since the differences are not big at all, let your eye and previous experience decide which on of these two amazing phones is the right one for you.
