Many small companies nowadays threaten to take over the position of the giants. Bear in mind that smaller companies release awesome phones for sometimes even half the price. The case is such with the Nubia Z9, the new flagship phone that caught the attention on the American market. Let’s take a look at the characteristics!
Nubia Z9 may not be the thinnest phone you have seen in your life, but is one of those phones that come with a might processors and durable battery. The phone is constructed following the well-known so-called “metal-glass sandwich” – a metal body topped with glass. The phone uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset with 3GB of RAM (the Elite and Exclusive versions have 4GB RAM) and it is powered by a non-removable Li-Ion 2900 mAh battery.
The Nubia Z9 comes with a display of 5.2” and a pixel density of 424 PPI. The phone has a 16-megapixel back and 8-megapixel back camera. This Chinese manufacturer is known of putting an accent to their camera, so there’s no big surprise of how good the image quality turns out. However, when shooting in a place with low light, the pictures are a bit disappointing, yet not bad at all.
The Nubia Z9 runs on Android Lollipop, even though you may not recognize it at a first glance. They have changed the UI of the operating system a lot, so expect to see a more colorful and playful design than what you are used to.

I can’t really say that this phone wowed me any particularly, but it is a more than a decent phone, high-end oriented. It has all the features that the best-selling phones right now have, and in fact the hardware is better than many of them. A very disappointing thing is the fact the not all variants of the Nubia Z9 have a fingerprint scanner – that feature is exclusive to the Exclusive model. But overall, I can put this phone in the affordable, yet great phones on the market.
