The Android N developer preview is here, and things are looking pretty nice here. There are many new options and features, so it is only normal one to get all excited about when the final version is coming!
From previous years, we know that the new versions of Android are being released some time in October/November. However, things are looking a little bit different this year, and it seems like the final version of the Android N may be released some time in the summer.
According to Hiroshi Lockheimer, a Google representative, in a writing on Medium:
By releasing the first preview and asking for your feedback now (in March!), we’ll be able to act on that feedback while still being able to hand off the final N release to device makers this summer, so they can get their hands on the latest version of Android earlier than ever.
So if everything goes according to plan, the final version of the Android N may be handled to device manufacturers in the summer. Still, of course, it will take couple of more month until device makers adapt the Android N version for their devices and start to roll out the updates.
